tour de france means

tour de france means
Help with understandin tour de france coverage.?

Can someone please explain what the numbers mean next to the yellow jersey in the top left corner of tv coverage

Hmmm… I watch the TdF on Versus in the U.S.A.

All the information they present to us is in an information bar at the bottom of the screen…

The mileage number they show, is the distance that the current stage leader has to travel before reaching the day’s end line.

Once in a while, they show a time number, which is the time since the start of today’s stage race that we are watching.

They also show a time number next to the different color jerseys.. like yellow, or green, or polk a dot red…

That number is the time difference between the current leader for today’s stage to the position where the rider wearing the specific color jersey is at.

I hope I covered it all.

Tour de france, oops i mean brussels

tour de france rules

tour de france rules
Is there any good website that explains the rules and strategy to win Tour De France?

I can’t really find a definitive site, but for great TdF info, go to this site:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/other_sports/cycling/default.stm

There’s always the TdF official site:

www.letour.fr

Click on the British flag for the english version, should you need it.
