How do you read the Tour De France route maps?

What do the coloured circles with the numbers inside mean?

They are intermediate points where riders can get points. The red ones are climbs, the numbers indicate the difficulty of the climb. Green represents sprint points.

It’s a race to the point. The first few riders across the line get points.

The points are used to determine who wins king of the mountains and sprinters races.

tour de france barcelona
How much money do I need for my study abroad trip in Europe?

Im going with our program at school. Our accomodations and travel for the entire trip is already payed for. I have a rail pass for my entire time over in Europe as well as Airfare, trips, tours, etc. Some of our meals are even included in a few places. How much spending money should I bring as far as food and drinking beer goes? I don’t plan on going on any shopping sprees, but I want to have a good time. We are traveling to—Utrecht, Netherlands–Prague, Czech Rep–Krakow, Poland–Budapest, Hungary,–Vienna, Austria–St. Jean de Luz, France–San Sebastian, Spain. After the trip ends me and some other students are staying in and around the Barcelona area on our own for a week without the originial program advantages. So we would need accomodations..What do you guys think? Im trying to do this cheap but reasonable.

Figure in $100 per night for a hotel, $10-15 per meal, $30 in taxi’s, $50-75 bar tab and another $500 for emergencies.
