tour de france diet

is it bad to bike for exercise every day?
i love to bike wheter its road or mountain, i usually ride about 70-90 miles a week. since im on the compettive side i like to push myself every ride, and these past few weeks i have been feeling little to no soreness the day after riding. is it ok to ride everyday or will it do me harm?
and how do the tour de france guys do it any special stretching or diet?
as a form of exercise, everyday rides (10-20 as you’re doing) won’t hurt you at all. If you want to get competitive, you need a more complex training schedule with a mixing of speed and endurance rides. But beware endurance for competitive riders are around 80-100 miles a ride. Stretching is good before and after, just do simple stretches for your calves, arms and back. For the diet avoid junk food but mainly stay hydrated—water does it.
I’m more of a runner but both running and cycling are cardiovascular activities and require of similar techniques. Maybe competitive cycling is not what you want, but either way its a good source of exercise. Keep it up
