tour de france giant bikes

October 18th, 2010 admin No comments

tour de france giant bikes
How much should I be paying for a Giant, 26″, 2 year old tour bike in great condition?

The guy says that he took it into a shop to get it tuned and said it didn’t even need that. He also says that the guy he bought it from used it in the Tour De France (of course that’s what he says, I don’t know if it’s true!)

I’m just looking for an estimate on how much I should be paying.
I just need an estimate! I’m not going to pay for a new bike because I don’t have that kind of cash right now. I meant to put 23″ for the frame size. I don’t have any further info on the model of the bike, I’ve only seen a pic at this point and it looks brand new

Road bikes, such as the ones used in the Tour de France have no measurement that is 26″. The wheel size is 700c, and the frame size would be measured in centimeters. In order to determine the value of the bike, you have to know the model. Giant makes a large range of bike models at many different prices, from several hundred to many thousand dollars in price. To figure out how much the bike is worth, you need a lot more information.
Edit: A frame size of 23″ isn’t a road bike size, so your additional information is not helpful. As previously stated, road bikes are measured using metric sizing. If someone uses some other measurement you needto ask further questions to be able to figure out what the bike is worth. If indeed the bike was used for professional racing, even second hand it is worth a lot of money. At that level, pro race bikes sell for at least $5000. If the owner is not asking at least $2000 he is not telling you the truth about the bike and you should pass. You give no idea about your height and other body measurements so nobody here can tell you if the bike is even close to fitting you

All 4 Bike
